Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Describe the bug: When switching between conversations in the Code tab of the Claude desktop app, the view scrolls to the top of the conversation instead of the most recent messages at the bottom. This forces users to manually scroll down every time they switch conversations.

What Should Happen?

Open Claude desktop app
Go to the Code tab
Have at least 2 conversations with some message history
Switch from one conversation to another
Notice the scroll position is at the top instead of the bottom

Error Messages/Logs

Expected behavior: When switching conversations, the view should automatically scroll to the bottom (most recent messages), similar to how chat apps like Slack/WhatsApp behave.
