[Bug] Excessive token consumption with Claude 4.6 Sonnet and Extended Thinking since latest update

Bug Description
Something is really off since your last update. My token usage is through the roof. I'm not doing anything all that different and my workflows haven't changed. But something is chewing through tokens like crazy. I use Sonnet with Extended thinking all the time and haven't not experienced something like this before. I'm part of a few user groups and they are all reporting the same thing over the last 24-36 hours. We need you to address this.
