Preflight Checklist

What's Wrong?

When I started Claude and clicked on Cowork, it always showed "Failed to start Claude's workspace. ". I have chatted with Claude and tried all the suggestions Claude chat provided, e.g. reinstall WSL, reinstall Claude Desktop, restart Windows 10, etc. All doesn't work. The path "C:\Users\ozpen\AppData\Roaming\Claude\vm_bundles\claudevm.bundle" has never been created.

What Should Happen?

Cowork should start without error.

Error Messages/Logs

The message is as follows:
Failed to start Claude's workspace
failed to set VHDX path: VHDX file not found: C:\Users\ozpen\AppData\Roaming\Claude\vm_bundles\claudevm.bundle\rootfs.vhdx
Restarting Claude or your computer sometimes resolves this. If it persists, you can reinstall the workspace.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Download Claude Desktop for Windows
2. Install it as admin
3. Click on the Cowork button at the top
4. The error shows.
