[BUG] /schedule skill fails every time with "trouble connecting with your remote claude.ai account

What's Wrong?

The /schedule skill has been failing consistently for at least 2 days on the web version (claude.ai/code). Every attempt returns the error:

"We're having trouble connecting with your remote claude.ai account to set up a scheduled task. Please try /schedule again in a few minutes."

Waiting and retrying does not resolve it — the error is consistent regardless of time of day or how long I wait between attempts.

What Should Happen?

Connect to remote account and allow scheduling a recurring agent

Error Messages/Logs

Fails every time with the connection error above: Try again later — come back in a bit and just type /schedule yourself. When it connects, tell it something like: "Run my morning briefing every weekday at 7:00am PT" and it'll set it up.

File a bug report — if this keeps failing, report it at https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues so the team can investigate why the remote scheduler isn't connecting.

The briefing workflow itself is solid — once /schedule works, it should be a one-time setup and then fully automatic every morning.

Steps to Reproduce

For Steps to Reproduce, replace that section with:

Open claude.ai/code in the browser
Start a new session or use an existing one
Type /schedule in the chat input and press Enter
Error message appears: "We're having trouble connecting with your remote claude.ai account to set up a scheduled task."
Wait several minutes, retry — same error every time
Issue has persisted across multiple days and multiple sessions
