[Bug] Desktop CLI: Messages unresponsive with loading indicator disappearings

Bug Description
My claude code on Desktop only does not respond to messages. I see the loading message for a half a second, then it disappears and nothing happens. This is only on desktop, as my terminal claude code and vscode extention work.
