[BUG] Rate limits too aggressive for Pro plan (90€/month)

Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened Apr 4, 2026 by khalidksouri Closed Apr 7, 2026

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

I'm on the Pro plan at 90€ HT/month and I regularly hit rate limits
during long coding sessions. Agents get killed mid-task with
"You've hit your limit" errors, losing significant work progress.

For the price point, the quotas feel insufficient for professional
use. I'd expect either higher limits or at minimum a graceful
degradation (slower responses) instead of hard stops.

Environment: Claude Code CLI, macOS, Opus model

What Should Happen?

Pro plan (90€ HT/month) should allow sustained long coding sessions without hitting rate limits that kill agents mid-task.

Error Messages/Logs

"You've hit your limit · resets 9pm (Europe/Paris)"
"Failed to authenticate. API Error: 401 - OAuth token has expired"

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Start a Claude Code session on Pro plan
  2. Launch multiple agents in parallel for a large project
  3. After ~2-3 hours of intensive work, agents start failing with "You've hit your limit"
  4. Work is lost and context is broken
