[BUG] ctrl+d not working

Bug Description
When i press ctrl+d the app does not close. I have to press it twice. This seams like a weird bug. I want to close it just by pressing it once, like in all other terminal apps iam using.
Steps to Reproduce
- claude
- press keystroke ctrl+d
- no-nothings happens
- press keystroke ctrl+d
- then it closes
(iam using kitty + zsh)
Expected Behavior
- claude
- press keystroke ctrl+d
- should close directly
