/dream command shown in /memory UI but doesn't exist

Resolved 💬 2 comments Opened Apr 2, 2026 by terrymaster Closed Apr 2, 2026

Description

Under /memory, the auto-dream setting shows "/dream to run" next to auto dream: on. However, running /dream returns "Unknown skill: dream".

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Claude Code CLI
  2. Run /memory
  3. Observe the auto-dream setting shows "/dream to run"
  4. Close memory editor
  5. Run /dream
  6. Get: "Unknown skill: dream"

Expected Behavior

Either:

  • /dream should work as a manual trigger for memory consolidation, OR
  • The /memory UI should not show "/dream to run" if the command doesn't exist

Environment

  • Claude Code CLI on Windows 11
  • Claude Opus 4.6 (1M context)
  • auto dream: on
