Broken rendering due to tabs in file content

Whenever claude code suggests code changes it looks weird like this, with the border on the right wrapping to a newline. I have wrapping disabled in this buffer. If I resize it, the text resizes, but still is wonky with the new lines. After accepting the change, it looks fine:

Is there a way to get this border to properly render, or disable the border entirely when looking at the suggestion diff view?
I am running claud code in a neovim terminal.
