What's Wrong?

The Claude desktop app (macOS) plays a chime/notification sound every time a response completes. There is no setting inside the app to disable this sound.

Actual behavior:
A chime sound plays on every completed response. macOS system notifications for Claude are already turned Off, so the sound is not coming from the OS — it is played directly by the app.

Environment:

macOS (version: 26.3.1 (25D2128))
Claude desktop app (version: Claude 1.1.7203 (034f07) 2026-03-17T17:48:28.000Z)
Request:
Add a toggle in app settings to disable the completion sound.

What Should Happen?

Stop this sound.
