[BUG] VSCode: Cursor rapidly cycles between multiple Claude Code tab input fields on startup

What's Wrong?

When VSCode starts with multiple Claude Code tabs open, the cursor/focus rapidly flickers between the input fields of each Claude Code tab for an extended period. Any typing during this time gets distributed across multiple tabs (e.g., typing "........" places a few dots in each tab's input field).

The cursor rapidly alternates focus between all open Claude Code tab input fields for several minutes, making typing unusable until it settles.

What Should Happen?

Focus should settle on a single Claude Code input field without flickering between tabs.

Close and reopen VSCode (or reload window)
Observe the cursor rapidly jumping between Claude Code input fields
