Environment

  • Platform (select one):
  • [x] Anthropic API
  • [ ] AWS Bedrock
  • [ ] Google Vertex AI
  • [ ] Other: <!-- specify -->
  • Claude CLI version: 1.0.53 (Claude Code)
  • Operating System: Android 15, running in termux
  • Terminal: termux/bash

Bug Description

When asked to provide the organization/repository and pressing enter nothing happens.
I tried both organization/repository and https://github.com/organization/repository without success.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Start Claude
  2. Type /install-github-app
  3. Follow the instructions until asked for organization/repository
  4. Press enter, notice nothing is happening

Expected Behavior

The installation process continues properly and sets up the secret in the repository.

Actual Behavior

The CLI is stuck and needs to be killed as CTRL+C only clears the input field.

Additional Context

Just as a sanity check, are you entering a repo name at this screen? I'm realizing it's not super clear that this is a text field, we should improve this. Or is the app just not proceeding even after you enter a repo?

@ashwin-ant Can add this is occurring for me as well and even if you enter a repo address in any format and press Enter to continue it doesn't process

The only way I've found to get out is to Ctrl-C a few times.

Same issue. I've tried using both name as well as full URL, it just says "Please enter a repository name to continue" but pressing enter or escape does nothing, just have to Ctrl+C to get out.

I've tried disconnecting and re-authing my GH connection, as well as changing Claude for Github permission settings from "All Repos" to specifically the one I want it for. Nothing has worked.
