[BUG] Claude freezes after providing prompt on new session or just invoking --resume
Resolved 💬 4 comments Opened Jan 26, 2026 by rakanalh Closed Mar 1, 2026
Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
Launching claude:
claude --dangerously-skip-permissions
And providing a prompt
or
claude --dangerously-skip-permissions --resume
Gets claude to freeze. It's been unusable today and i believe that happened after upgrading to the new native claude.
What i also noticed is that while being stuck, CPU usage for the claude process is at 100%.
What Should Happen?
Claude should work normally and be able to load conversations without freezing.
