What's Wrong?

• Badge doesn't update when the session's focus changes
• Doesn't clear when the session ends
• Initial topic detection could be smarter

For now, the badge is stuck on the topic from when this session started (the Singapore 502 fix), even though we've since done VPC migration, tear-downs,
and cleanup.

What Should Happen?

update when the session's focus changes
