[FEATURE] Suggested title: "Status line setup on Windows requires manual bash/jq installation — should be automated or documented"

Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing requests and this feature hasn't been requested yet
- [x] This is a single feature request (not multiple features)
Problem Statement
The key points worth mentioning:
- Windows users need bash (Git for Windows) and jq installed and on bash's PATH (not just Windows PATH)
- There's no documentation or warning when the status line silently fails
- A Windows-native status line command (e.g. PowerShell) would avoid the dependency entirely
