This should be fixed in v0.2.18. Restart to get the update, and lmk if it's feeling better!
Hello @bcherny, I'm using v0.2.19 but still got the same error.
I'm getting the same error,
macOS 14.3
Cursor Version: 0.45.14
VSCode Version: 1.96.2
default terminal (zsh)
I'm also still getting the error - using VSCode Insiders and Claude Code v0.2.29
Also getting this error with the latest version.
+1 same error
+1 same error fresh install as of 3/11/25

This should work with the default terminal in Cursor/Windsurf right?
Please reopen issue. Still seeing with a fresh install (v0.2.39).
Please open this still happens with fresh install of v0.2.45. No prior versions were installed.

This is fixed in 0.2.57. Restart to update!
I am on 0.2.59 (macOS)
I ran /terminal-setup closed the terminal and then tried shift+enter for newline and it still doesn't work. I have to use \ + shift
So billions of dollars later, this key feature still does not work! Can't wait for Google Gemini to make something comparable with much larger context window
