What's Wrong?
This issue was reported before, and the ticket was closed in version v2.1.15.
I am currently using v2.1.72.
When I opened Claude to sign in, I was redirected to the Claude authorization page. After that, I got this error, even though the authorization page said “You are all set.”
The same issue also happens when I manually paste the code, if prompted.
If you want, I can also make it sound more professional for a bug report.

What Should Happen?
I should be logged in normally after clicking on authorize button once claude authorization page pops up.
Error Messages/Logs
If I try to log in using code by pasting it I get this error: OAuth error: timeout of 15000ms exceeded
but if I try to log in without pasting the code I get this error: OAuth error: Request failed with status code 500Steps to Reproduce
Steps to reproduce:
1.Open the app on version v2.1.72.
2.Start the Sign in with Claude flow.
3.Complete the login/confirmation process in the Claude browser page.
4.Wait to be redirected back to the app.
5.Observe that the app shows an error, even though the Claude confirmation page says “You are all set.”
Also reproducible with manual code entry:
1.Open the app on version v2.1.72.
2.Start the Sign in with Claude flow.
3.When prompted, manually copy and paste the code.
4.Submit the code.
5.Observe the same error.

I only started getting it after upgrading to the Max plan... so now that I paid more I can't even use the tool anymore!

They got a timeout of 15s, and because probably a lot of people are retrying they don't meet that timeout.

It keeps losing my login and asking me to reauthenticate through the browser...
And now in the browser I'm getting Authorization failed Internal server error!
In addition to the model just "pausing" for minutes at a time without generating any tokens.

yep, im getting the same issue now. super frustrating. can we get this bug fix prioritized? zero reason that pro/max users should be forced to generate an api key and pay for credits when doing local development and already paying for subscriptions.

Got passed the issue. I simply removed all the tokens from the claude code auth management (in https://claude.ai/settings/claude-code) and went through the oauth flow again from the terminal.
