[BUG] Session usage counters reset unexpectedly mid-cycle

Resolved 💬 6 comments Opened Feb 27, 2026 by Kimbangg Closed Mar 27, 2026

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Both daily and weekly usage session
counters reset unexpectedly mid-cycle
during active use.

Before reset (~2hrs ago): 5h:83%(3h22m) |
wk:84%(2d3h)
After reset (~1hr ago): 5h:22%(4h0m) |
wk:2%(6d23h)

  • Daily session: reset during active use

without reaching the natural rollover time

  • Weekly session: should renew every

Sunday, but a new cycle started on Friday,
February 27th

  • Weekly timer jumped from "2d3h

remaining" to "6d23h remaining",
confirming the cycle restarted mid-week

  • No user action triggered the reset — it

happened during a continuous working
session

What Should Happen?

  • Daily session should reset once per day

at a consistent, predictable time

  • Weekly session should reset every

Sunday, maintaining a Sun-to-Sat cycle

  • Session counters should not reset

mid-cycle without user action
