[BUG] Cowork still unavailable after reinstalling with admin rights
Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
After being prompted that "Cowork requires a newer installation," I reinstalled the desktop app with administrator rights. However, the Cowork feature is still showing as unavailable and displaying the same "requires a newer installation" message.
The reinstallation message states: "Reinstall the desktop app to access Cowork and start handling off longer tasks."
I clicked the "Reinstall" button and completed the installation process with admin privileges, but the issue persists. The Cowork feature remains inaccessible even after the reinstallation.
What Should Happen?
After reinstalling the desktop app with administrator rights, the Cowork feature should become fully accessible and functional. The "Cowork requires a newer installation" message should no longer appear, and users should be able to access Cowork to handle longer tasks as intended.
Also reinstall button doesn't work in UI, nothing happening
