Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

The Claude Code VS Code extension fails to activate on Windows 11, producing the error command 'claude-vscode.editor.openLast' not found. This was fixed in v2.1.52 but has regressed in both v2.1.53 and v2.1.55. Downgrading to v2.1.52 restores full functionality.

What Should Happen?

Clicking the Claude Code icon in the VS Code activity bar should activate the extension and open the Claude Code panel. All claude-vscode.* commands should register and function normally, as they do in v2.1.52.
