[BUG] [Desktop App] Code mode stuck on "Thinking..." - Chat and Cowork work fine

What's Wrong?

Bug Description

The Code mode in the Claude desktop app has been stuck on "Thinking..." for 2 days. It never returns a response. Chat and Cowork modes work normally in the desktop app, and Code mode works fine in the browser (claude.ai/code).

Additionally, in Cowork mode on the desktop app, Claude's messages disappear when leaving and returning to a session.

What Should Happen?

Code mode should respond to messages, as it does in the browser version.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open Claude desktop app
2. Start a new session in Code mode
3. Send any message
4. The UI shows "Thinking..." indefinitely and never responds
