[Bug] Auto-compact loses plan context and executes partial work without plan file creation

Bug Description
In the Claude Code, if you're in plan mode and it auto compacts, it completely loses the flow of what was going on, never creates a plan file in /Users/USERNAME/.claude/plans/ and randomly starts executing whatever portion you had completed in the window before compacting. Why have you so thoroughly devestated an amazing product with these updates? It's worse than your January nuking :( I'm heartbroken.\

In this case, it was asking me a series of questions about bug fixes and I was explaining and iterating with screenshots to get the proper fixes done. It start compacting. When it comes back, it tries to write a file in /docs/ as the "plan" and start implementing that, all without input. Literally mid-plan with no context about why or what was going on.

Environment Info

• Platform: darwin
• Terminal: windsurf
• Version: 2.1.44 (this is not correct, since you apparently removed the bug report from the Claude Code extension. I was trying that instead since the CLI has become so bad -- I had to go back to the npm install because the native install doesn't seem to have a straightforward way to stop the updates to the devastated/nerfed versions)
