[BUG] `/context` command is not displaying

Resolved 💬 2 comments Opened Jan 20, 2026 by wkmaaj Closed Jan 20, 2026

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

When i run the /context command in the terminal nothing is displayed. What appears to be happening is:

  • the output for /context is displayed quickly/briefly
  • the escape button is triggered somehow prematurely and the output leaves the screen

I've experienced this behavior on both a Windows and Mac system. I checked on a prior version of Claude Code (v2.1.7) and the /context command was working as expected.

What Should Happen?

Run /context and see the output as in prior versions, output is removed when user presses Esc.
