[Bug] Rapid API usage depletion without user activity on Pro tier account
Bug Description
I am using the latest version of Claude Code - I generally start work at 9am, somehow today my usage at 9am was 21%, I closed the app and checked the usage again seconds later and it rose to 24%.
There is nobody else using my account, I am using the Pro tier and there has been many problems with my instance in the last few weeks, but primarily the usage gets drained really quickly (I am using Haiku not Sonnet or Opus). I would appreciate if someone could reach out to me regarding this probably as its making using Claude unusable. There are other problems however this is the main issue (ps i've tried re-installing with a fresh version, the issue is account related as I have the problem on multiple machines using the same account.

I’ve noticed the same behavior today. Also I’m hitting the limit way faster than I’m used to.
Might not be related - but the /usage command seems to fail regularly as well with no obvious pattern
Same here.
In december, I could implement the front+back of a feature. Now, just the frontend impl takes most of my usage limit.
I have run about 4 prompts today, already hit my limit.... I'll probably have to cancel my subscription if this cannot be fixed as it is unusable for me - could someone from Claude provide me info of how I can determine what is taking/using my token allowance so quickly?

So my usage got reset at 2pm today - I ran ONE prompt to create a 'code simplifier' agent using Opus. This was basically copying and pasting the agent below - this used 22% usage in ONE prompt.
Help... Claude is unusable like this

OK.. even worse I haven't run any other prompts since the one above and the usage has now jumped up to 43%.
TLDR:
I ran one prompt creating an agent and it has used 43% USAGE IN ONE PROMPT on Pro tier.
Now my usage is 100%.... this is unusable... it is adding usage even though i'm not actually using it...

Not sure how this is remotely usable now - i'll remove Claude and try another clean install and then use it once to open the instance to see if the usage continues to move, any suggestions by the team @claude would be appreciated
