[Bug] Ctrl-D triggers premature quit instead of deleting next character in input (when input is present)
Resolved 💬 2 comments Opened Dec 28, 2025 by sethfitz Closed Dec 28, 2025
Bug Description
2.0.76 contains a regression (though I'm not sure what version it was introduced in) where ctrl-d (macOS, Ghostty) is captured as a pre-quit keystroke in the middle of a line with text in it (pasted, in this case) in addition to deleting the next character (standard Emacs-style keybinding). This causes me to accidentally quit Claude (and close my terminal, which is more problematic) when trying to edit text.
