Problem Statement

Problem Description
The current toggle UI for switching between "Edit Automatically," "Plan," and "Ask before Edit" modes is consistently confusing. As a frequent user, I often find myself uncertain about the interaction: Am I clicking to activate this mode, or is this mode already active and I'm switching away from it? The visual design does not clearly indicate the current state versus the action being performed.

Proposed Solution
Replace the current toggle/button group with a dropdown selector (or a clearly state-indicative radio button group). This would provide:

Explicit selection semantics (click to choose = this becomes active)

Immediate visual confirmation of the currently active mode

Standard UI patterns that users intuitively understand

Expected Benefits
Improved UX clarity: Users will immediately know which mode is active and how to change it

Reduced cognitive load: Eliminates the guessing game of "am I selecting or toggling?"

Consistency: Follows established UI conventions for mode/state selection
