[BUG] [FEATURE REQUEST] Automatic Refund for Unintended Auto-Reload Charges

What's Wrong?

Summary

I am requesting an urgent feature to prevent and automatically refund unintended auto-reload charges that occur despite having the feature explicitly disabled.

Current Problem

Despite having auto-reload DISABLED in my account settings, I was charged $15.00 USD (plus tax $1.50 = $16.50 total) without any user action or consent. This is a critical system flaw that puts users at financial risk.

Proposed Solution

1. Automatic Detection & Cancellation

• System should automatically detect charges when auto-reload is DISABLED
• Automatically cancel such charges and issue immediate refunds
• No manual support ticket required

2. User Control - Quick Cancel Button

• Add "CANCEL UNINTENDED CHARGE" button in billing dashboard
• Allow users to instantly cancel accidental charges within 24 hours
• Immediate confirmation and refund initiation

3. Enhanced Safety Measures

• Require email verification before any auto-reload charge occurs
• Require explicit opt-in re-confirmation if auto-reload attempts while disabled
• Log all billing anomalies for system auditing

Why This Is Critical

• This is a recurring system bug (multiple reports found on GitHub)
• Users in developing countries, students, and those on tight budgets are vulnerable
• Support resolution takes days/weeks while users bear the cost
• Erodes trust in Anthropic's platform
