Problem Statement

Currently claude web tries to summarize a new session instructions into its own unique session "name" - but often its meaningless to me, the user. With multiple ongoing sessions sometimes remembering which one I need to be in for which project gets confusing.

Proposed Solution

For new sessions allow users to name it themselves so its meaningful to them, as the FIRST line of the chat, or even somewhere within the first chat (that starts a new session):

IE: Session title = "Phase 2A - Data collection" - then eventually when this session hangs/errors out and forced to start a new session, the next one would be: Session title = "Phase 3B - data sql import"

Priority

Medium - Would be very helpful

Feature Category

Interactive mode (TUI)

Use Case Example

I started a new session and it summarized the session name to: "Read project guidelines and documentation standards"

But that is useless to me, I want the session name to be: "RepoName: Phase 2c - data collection" - very important for archiving sessions, finding old ones, knowing exactly where/what you are working on in THAT session.
