Description:
Claude Code cannot read/write files or run bash commands on Windows.
All file operations fail with error: "Command failed: cygpath -u"

Affected tools:

  • Read (file reading)
  • Write (file writing)
  • Bash (command execution)

Environment:

  • VS Code with Claude Code extension
