[Bug] Infinite scroll issue leads to crash on repeated occurrence

Bug Description
cc has crashed 4 - 5 time in the last week. starts off with infinite scroll issues (these have been persistent - havent reported because have reported so many times before and it seems to keep coming back), but then gets worse (longer duration of infinite scroll - to an almost frenzied state after which it crashes.
