[BUG] Hard hang after pressing Tab while Claude is thinking

What's Wrong?

While Claude is writing code, I see the prompt "Hit tab to enable thinking" or something like that. I press Tab. This immediately hard freezes my system. The mouse doesn't respond, and pressing Caps Lock doesn't even light the caps lock indicator light. Leaving it alone for 20 minutes does not produce any change, so I have to force cold reboot. this has happened three times. I have never successfully pressed Tab in this case.

What Should Happen?

Claude should think, and the system should not hang.
