claude mcp serve --mcp-debug simply hangs

I'm trying to integrate Claude Code into Cursor; the MCP server doesn't start up at all tho, just hangs.
If I start it normally, everything works. Did that break? I assume at least if I add the debug flag it would print something?

0.2.107 (Claude Code)

claude mcp serve --mcp-debug
(nothing happens)
