Feature request
Once a remote session has ended, the desktop app gives no way to pick it back up. Please add:
- Show which machine it ran on. An ended remote session should show the host it ran on (machine name / SSH host / cloud environment) and its working folder, so you know where the work and files live.
- Restart it on that machine. A "Resume on <host>" action that starts the session again on the same host and folder, with the full conversation history.
- Or continue it locally. A "Continue here" action that moves the whole conversation into a local session on the current computer, so you can keep working when the original machine is off or unreachable.
Why
Today an ended remote session is a dead end. You can read the transcript, but you can't tell where it ran or carry on with it. Commands like /btw can even freeze in that state (see #102500). Being able to resume on the original host, or fork the whole conversation into a local session, would make remote sessions safe to rely on for long-running work.
Environment
- Claude desktop app, Code tab, macOS
