What's wrong?

My mod draws a coloured cache timer in the prompt footer through ui.render on SessionMode. It returns its own tree: <Box flexDirection="row" gap={1}>{await next(e)}<Text color="#5fd38a">Cache: 38:34</Text></Box>.

It used to sit on the footer row, to the right of the model and effort picker. Since the latest desktop update it gets a row of its own underneath, right-aligned, with nothing else on it. The mod code didn't change.

Footer now: Bypass permissions on the left and Opus 5.5 Extra ◯ on the right on one row, then a second row holding only Cache: 38:34 at the right edge.

That's a whole extra row in the composer for one short label.

What should happen?

SessionMode content on the same row as the model and effort picker, where it was before the update.

Steps to reproduce

  1. A mod with on('ui.render', { component: 'SessionMode' }, ...) that returns its own tree, as above.
  2. Open a local chat in the desktop Code tab.
  3. The mod's content is drawn on a separate row under the model and effort picker.

Regression

Yes. Last working: 2.1.293 (per #102300).

Environment

  • Claude Code 2.1.295, bundled in Claude desktop 2.37337.1 (MSIX)
  • Windows 11 Pro 10.0.26200, desktop Code tab

Related: #100116 (SessionMode right-aligned and width-capped), #102300 (mentions the same move between 2.1.293 and 2.1.295).
