Feature request: let plugins receive Esc (or a "prompt cancel" event) while the prompt has focus

Claude Code version: 2.1.296 (macOS)

What the plugin does

The af-QoL plugin lets the user "pick" a message: a button copies the message and marks it with accent-colored rails, and the plugin's reply/copy actions then act on it. Esc should clear the pick, the same way Esc clears other short-lived states.

The problem

In 2.1.296 a plugin never receives Esc while the prompt has focus. With the plugin's debug log on, Esc produced no prompt edit and no key event for the plugin.

Request

Pass Esc (or a "prompt cancel" event) to plugins, after the engine's own Esc handling, so a plugin can clear its own temporary state.
