Bug Description
Title: [BUG] copyOnSelect stopped writing to clipboard in 2.1.296 (worked in 2.1.295) — macOS Terminal.app, fullscreen renderer Environment - Claude Code 2.1.296 (regressed) / 2.1.295 (working) - macOS Darwin 25.6.0, Apple Terminal, TERM=xterm-256color - Local install: ~/.local/share/claude/versions/ - settings.json: "tui": "fullscreen", "copyOnSelect": true What happens Drag-selecting text in the TUI highlights normally but writes nothing to the clipboard. Cmd+V afterwards pastes the previous clipboard contents. Expected Selection is copied to the clipboard automatically, as it did through 2.1.295. Repro 1. macOS Terminal.app, "tui": "fullscreen" and "copyOnSelect": true 2. Start claude 3. Drag across any assistant output 4. Paste into another app — clipboard is unchanged Regression window - 2.1.295 installed 2026-10-09 10:03 — copy-on-select worked - 2.1.296 installed 2026-10-10 15:56 — copy-on-select broken Same settings file across both. Ruled out - Not mouse capture: Terminal's own blue highlight still renders on drag - Not config: reproduced with tui fullscreen removed, and with CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_MOUSE_CLICKS=1, and with copyOnSelect set explicitly true - Reproduced in fresh sessions, not just resumed ones
