Session gets stuck in a retry loop on a very slow upload connection (Claude Desktop, Windows)

What's Wrong?
Repeated ECONNRESET retry loops on a slow-upload connection leave sessions stuck (Claude Desktop, Windows 11)
Version 2.1.293, entrypoint claude-desktop, Windows 11. I never see this error on a good connection. It only happens when I am on a network with very slow upload, about 0.3 Mbps, which I cannot change. There, sessions show Connection dropped (ECONNRESET) with “attempt N/10”, and often never recover: retries reach 10/10 and I have to abandon the session. Several sessions got stuck this way over several days, and I had to delete some of them.
From the logs of two surviving sessions (11 error episodes): it happens in small sessions too (transcripts of about 1.1 MB and 1.3 MB) as well as large ones (22 MB). Most episodes follow plain text messages. Attaching an image has also triggered it for me, but I cannot confirm that from the surviving logs. The link to upload speed is my own observation from using different networks, not something I have measured.
Expected: on a slow link, requests should either complete with a longer timeout, or fail with a clear message and a way to continue the session in a new one without losing context.
What Should Happen?
Claude should resume! Unfortunately it's stuck forever for the session!
