[FEATURE] VS Code Extension: Chat input doesn't auto-format Markdown lists while typing (e.g. "- " → bullet)

Problem Statement
In Claude Desktop's Code tab, typing - at the start of a line in the message composer automatically converts it into a live bullet point, and pressing Enter continues the list — a lightweight live-markdown editing behavior common to Notion/Slack-style editors.
The Claude Code VS Code extension's chat input does not do this: typing - just leaves two literal characters in what appears to be a plain textarea, with no live list formatting and no auto-continuation on Enter.
This makes multi-item messages (e.g. listing several requirements, file paths, or options) noticeably more tedious to compose in the VS Code extension than in Desktop, since there's no visual feedback that a list is forming until after the message is sent and rendered.
Proposed Solution
Add lightweight live-markdown formatting to the chat input box, starting with auto-list behavior: typing - (or 1. ) at the start of a line converts it into a bullet/numbered list item, and pressing Enter continues the list — matching Claude Desktop's own input behavior.
Alternative Solutions
Currently, composing a list requires typing each - manually with no visual confirmation or auto-continuation, and no setting exists to enable this.

Use Case Example
- I'm composing a multi-item message in the Claude Code VS Code extension's chat input — e.g. listing three separate requirements.
- In Claude Desktop, typing
-then my first item, then Enter, already shows a bullet and continues the list for my second item. - In the VS Code extension, nothing happens —
-is just two literal characters, and Enter starts a plain new line with no list formatting at all. - With this feature, the input box would visually format the list as I type it, matching the Desktop experience.
Additional Context
Noticed while comparing VS Code extension chat input behavior against Claude Desktop's Code tab, which already supports this.
