What were you trying to do?
Trying to let a Claude Cowork/chat session access a private GitHub repo via the "github" connector tools. The connector (backed by the "Claude Github MCP Connector" GitHub App, api.githubcopilot.com/mcp) is stuck authorized-but-not-installed. On github.com/settings/applications → Authorized GitHub Apps it shows as authorized ("Verify identity / Know what resources you can access / Act on your behalf") but its own page says "has not been installed on any accounts you have access to." Disconnecting/reconnecting via claude.ai → Personalização → Conectores → github repeats only the OAuth identity step, never surfaces a repo-selection/install screen. Going directly to the app's install page and clicking Install redirects to an Anthropic endpoint that errors: {"type":"error","error":{"type":"invalid_request_error","message":"state: Field required"},"request_id":"req_011CfkQHPm8Nhr4qzQgTToio"}. Net effect: every github tool call from Cowork/chat 404s on a private repo that IS correctly accessible under the separate "Claude GitHub App" integration (used successfully by Claude Code cloud sessions for the same repo).
What happened instead?
Expected the app to prompt for repository selection/installation after authorizing. Instead, it only completes the GitHub identity authorization step and never shows an install/repo-picker screen. The app's own page on github.com/settings/applications confirms it "has not been installed on any accounts you have access to." As a result, every github tool call from Claude Cowork/chat sessions returns 404 for a private repository that IS correctly accessible via the separate "Claude GitHub App" integration (used successfully by Claude Code).
