[GitHub integration] Stuck in "Reconnect the Claude GitHub App" loop

What were you trying to do?

I was trying to connect my GitHub repositories to Claude so that Claude sessions could access and work with my repositories.

My GitHub account appears to be successfully connected to Claude, and I also installed and authorized the Claude GitHub App with repository access.

What happened instead?

Claude keeps showing the following warning:

"Reconnect the Claude GitHub App"

"The Claude GitHub App needs to be reconnected so Claude can work with your repositories."

When I click "Reconnect GitHub App", I complete the GitHub authorization/installation flow successfully. However, after returning to Claude, the same warning is still displayed.

I also tried completely resetting the integration:

1. Revoked the Claude/Anthropic authorization from GitHub.
2. Uninstalled the Claude GitHub App from GitHub.
3. Disconnected my GitHub account from Claude.
4. Reconnected my GitHub account to Claude.
5. Reinstalled and reauthorized the Claude GitHub App.
6. Granted repository access again.

The issue still persists.

Claude shows "GitHub account connected" with a green checkmark, while simultaneously saying that the Claude GitHub App needs to be reconnected.

It seems that the GitHub account connection succeeds, but Claude is not recognizing or synchronizing the GitHub App installation state.
