What happened
Claude Projects threads can't deliver installable skill cards. When Claude in a project thread packages a skill (.skill file with SKILL.md plus references/scripts), the file only downloads; there's no Save/Update button like there is in Cowork or a regular Claude Code session. The only Save-button route in a project, the skill proposal card, drops every file except SKILL.md and strips the metadata block (including metadata.version) when saved, so versioned multi-file skills can't be installed or updated from a project at all. I run my company's skills from a GitHub repo with versioning and a nightly update check, and I work in the browser across two accounts, so switching to the desktop app isn't an option. Please give project threads the same full-folder skill install/update cards (Save, and Update then Replace) that Cowork has, and make proposal cards keep the frontmatter metadata.
