What were you trying to do?

Test a native GitHub trigger for a Claude Code Routine using a private disposable sandbox repository and a draft PR.

The Routine was active before a single PR description edit. Its trigger was “Pull request: Edited”, with filters matching the PR’s head branch, base branch, draft=true, merged=false, and an exact marker contained in the updated body.

The save was clicked on October 5, 2026 at approximately 09:54:32 UTC, and GitHub visibly confirmed the edited description and marker. No Routine run appeared during the observation window. The Routine was subsequently paused. No manual “Run now” test or repeat edit was performed.

Checks afterward showed:

  • GitHub account connected.
  • Claude GitHub App installed.
  • Repository status confirmed Claude Code cloud sessions can work in the sandbox.
  • Saved trigger filters matched the PR.
  • The app had access to all repositories.

Native event delivery and the cause of the missing run remain unverified. Could you check whether this event was received or filtered, and advise what diagnostic information to provide privately?

What happened instead?

The Routine history continued to show “No runs yet” after the matching PR description edit. No GitHub-triggered session or visible error appeared during the observation window. The Routine was then paused without retrying.

Expected: a new GitHub-triggered Routine run.
Observed: no run appeared. The cause remains unknown.
