Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

"Gmail and Google Calendar need authorizing in your claude.ai connector settings before I can use them."
Really? Why does c++/python repo work need this.?

There should be no need to access gmail and my calendar ever I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked. Nothing in this work needs your mail or calendar

There is no way to disable this in the settings on claude.ai under connectors. Besides being annoying, it just makes me very suspect on the privacy.
yes i am aware others have reported and the issues have been closed as not planned. e.g. https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues/72060

What Should Happen?

Don't even think about gmail or google calendar or other private things when working on a codebase. you don't need it.

Error Messages/Logs

Steps to Reproduce

Claude code doesn't itself know how to stop this, this is incorrect: _I can't remove the request at its source myself. The notice comes from Gmail and Google Calendar being listed as connectors on your claude.ai account, which is outside anything I can change from here. To stop them showing up in any session, remove or disconnect both in claude.ai → Settings → Connectors. Until you do that, I'll ignore the notices without comment._
