Problem Statement

roblem
On the new-chat screen, Clawd sits on the top-right edge of the prompt with no frame around it. It looks great. A mod can't use that spot.

I built a companion mod: EVE from WALL·E, an animated SVG. She thinks, works with a tool icon in her hand, celebrates commits, gets upset when tests fail, and dozes when idle. The only place she can live is the AbovePrompt band. That band sits in a grey plate, and nothing draws on the new-chat screen, because no mod is loaded there yet.

Proposed Solution

Proposed solution
A Mascot (or Companion) render component on desktop: one small slot anchored to the prompt's top-right edge, where Clawd is today, that a mod can fill with an Svg.

It stays visible between turns, unlike Spinner.
Ideally it's also drawn on the new-chat screen. A mod that leaves the slot empty keeps Clawd.

Alternative Solutions

Alternatives
The AbovePrompt band. It works, but inside a plate.
A separate always-on-top window driven by hooks, as in #99266. That works, but the companion then lives outside the app.

Priority

Low - Nice to have
