Problem Statement

Suppose I am at the prompt, and there is a prompt suggestion in light gray. At that point, if I do /copy (to copy the previous response to the clipboard), then the prompt suggestion is no longer there. It would be helpful to still have it there.

Proposed Solution

If I do a slash command such as /copy, then when it eventually returns to the prompt, that previously suggested prompt is no longer there. It would be helpful if it was still there.

Priority

Low - Nice to have

Feature Category

Interactive mode (TUI)

Use Case Example

  1. Tell Claude Code to do something
  2. It does it, and then it displays a bunch of helpful info, e.g. what it did and next steps
  3. Also, after the ❯ prompt, there is a lightgray prompt suggestion
  4. Type /copy
  5. Claude Code copies the previous response to the clipboard
  6. Now the ❯ prompt no longer has a prompt suggestion after it
