[BUG] Browser pane shows raw source instead of rendering a local HTML file

When I open a local HTML file in the Code tab's built-in browser, it shows the raw HTML source instead of rendering the page. The same file displays correctly in Chrome/Firefox.
Expected: the browser pane renders local HTML files the way a normal browser does.
Actual: raw source text is displayed.
Platform: Linux
