What's Wrong?

In Analytics > Claude Code > Value (Beta), the Top spenders table identifies each
user by a truncated hex ID (for example 5f2dc929…) with a label such as
"Power user" or "Automation". No name or email is shown.

The Usage tab in the same dashboard lists members by email, so the dashboard already
has the mapping. Only the Value tab leaves it out.

The same table appears in the Claude Desktop app and on claude.ai, so it is not a
client issue.

What Should Happen?

Top spenders shows the user's name or email, as the Usage tab does. At minimum, an
owner should be able to resolve an ID to a member.

This matters because the docs suggest using analytics to "identify power users" who
can help onboard others. With opaque IDs, the Value tab can rank people but cannot say
who they are. The only workaround today is to match spend amounts by hand against the
spend report export.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. As an Owner on a Claude for Teams organization, open Analytics > Claude Code.
  2. Select the Value tab.
  3. Look at the User column in Top spenders.

What I checked

I am one of the users in the table. None of the IDs match my local identifiers in
~/.claude.json (accountUuid, userID), or an md5/sha1/sha256/sha512 hash of
those values or of my email address. The ID is therefore not something a member can
look up on their own machine.

I searched existing issues for this and found none.

Is this a regression?

I don't know. The Value tab is new to me.

Environment

  • Surfaces: Claude Desktop (Windows) and claude.ai in the browser
  • Claude Code version on my machine: 2.1.284 (not directly involved, the bug is in the web dashboard)
  • OS: Windows 11
  • Period viewed: Sep 1 to Sep 30, 2026
