[BUG] VS Code extension 2.1.282: blank webview over Remote-SSH, webview/index.js truncated in renderer (2.1.281 works)

What's Wrong?

In a VS Code Remote-SSH window, the Claude Code panel renders completely blank on extension 2.1.282. The same version works in a local (non-remote) window. Downgrading the remote extension to 2.1.281 fixes it; upgrading back to 2.1.282 reproduces it.

The extension host activates normally (auth OK, MCP server started, no errors in the Claude Code output channel). The failure is in the webview: the renderer receives only a prefix of webview/index.js.

What Should Happen?

The Claude Code panel should render in Remote-SSH windows on 2.1.282, as it does on 2.1.281.

Claude Code output channel (no errors):

Steps to Reproduce

1. Windows client, VS Code connected via Remote-SSH to a linux-arm64 host.
2. Install Claude Code extension 2.1.282 on the remote.
3. Open the Claude Code panel -> blank.
4. Open "Developer: Open Webview Developer Tools" -> SyntaxError at index.js:2137.

Verification on the remote:

• webview/index.js is intact on disk: 5,378,584 bytes, 2246 lines, node --check passes.
• Line 2137 corresponds to byte offset 4,160,130–4,222,605, so the renderer gets a truncated file.
• 2.1.281's index.js is 5,374,401 bytes and loads fine, so this is not a simple size limit.

Not fixed by: disable/enable, reload window, reinstalling the extension, deleting %APPDATA%\Code\Service Worker\, Remote-SSH 0.128.0 / 0.126 / latest.
