What were you trying to do?

Description:
The "Add from GitHub" option does not appear in the "+" menu of the claude.ai chat
interface, even though the GitHub Integration is fully set up and verified.

Current state (Settings → Connectors → GitHub Integration):

  • GitHub account connected: ✅
  • Claude GitHub App installed: ✅ (Repository access: All repositories)
  • Check repository status: ✅ "Claude Code cloud sessions can work in pridebird/ObdanOne"

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Install the Claude GitHub App on GitHub with "All repositories" access.
  2. Connect GitHub in claude.ai → Settings → Connectors (all checks green).
  3. Open a new chat on claude.ai and click the "+" button in the lower left.
  4. "Add from GitHub" is not listed.

Expected: "Add from GitHub" appears in the + menu (as described in the docs)
so repository files can be attached to a chat.
Actual: The option is missing entirely.

Already tried:

  • Hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R) and opening a new chat
  • Disconnecting and reconnecting the GitHub Integration
  • [Project knowledge "+" menu: GitHub option appears / does not appear]

Environment:

  • Plan: [Free / Pro / Max / Team]
  • Surface: claude.ai web
  • Browser / OS: [e.g. Chrome 1xx / Windows 11]
  • Date: 24 Sep 2026

Possibly related: anthropics/claude-code issues #93181 and #95115

What happened instead?
