[Feature Request] Improve file search functionality in VS Code extension to match CLI behavior

Question

**Bug Description**
The "search engine" when we type `@...` to look for a file is different in Claude Code VS code extension (in a worse way) compared to Claude Code CLI. I cannot find the file I am looking for in the VS Code extension, thus, I just use Claude Code CLI.
